Mathara used the Justinian to rescue two thousand people from the destruction of Ordifica. She transported them to 1799, where she set them up in/as the Remote colony of Anathema. She supplied them with receivers and remembrance tanks, which was fortuitous, given that the receivers "coincidentally" left the Remote sterile. She returned to Anathema in 1801 to check on the colonists, and took away those who didn't want to stay, including Kreiner.
Even long after the Remote were abandoned as a serious project, their technology sent data back to the Eleven-Day Empire. The Faction of the site — Dust — where I.M. Foreman would become an ecosystem, and Mathara headed a project to infect Foreman with a biodata virus at the moment of metamorphosis. Instead, the virus infected the Doctor, an alteration to his timeline which Mathara considered just as acceptable as the original plan. (PROSE: Interference - Book Two)
