You may be looking for Chris Cwej.

The Cwejen were an army of divergent versions of Chris Cwej (designated Cwej-One) created by the Great Houses for use in the War. The Cwejen were the only successful application of the Army of One project. There were multiple variants, derived from different parts of his timeline, for different uses. (PROSE: The Book of the War)

They existed in three types: the original (blond and handsome) "Cwej-Prime," the fat and balding "Cwej-Plus," and the monstrous and heavily armoured "Cwej-Magnus." The army was originally going to be led by Cwej-One, but because of socialisation problems a Cwej-Prime called Damen was used instead. (PROSE: The Book of the War)

A Cwej-Prime who called himself Abschrift (German for "copy") was involved in hunting rogue members of the Great Houses who escaped into the multiverse, at the behest of House Mirraflex. To do so, he allied himself with a parallel Nazi Germany that was never defeated. With Great Houses technology, that Germany began to conquer its neighbouring parallel Earths. (PROSE: Warlords of Utopia)

The Cwejen did not retain the conscious memories of their progenitor, but they were affected by his memories on an unconscious level. Some Cwejen who aided Straxus on a mission to 19th century Earth went mad for this reason. One of these, who adopted the name Septimus from a human, began committing crimes themed around the number seven in an attempt to draw the attention of their "pale god," "Mister Seven". (AUDIO: The Adventure of the Diogenes Damsel)
